Terms and Conditions

Quotations

​

  • J M PAT Testing will provide a quote for the customer, any quote given will not be confirmation of work, Quotes will only be valid for a period of 30 (thirty) days from the date shown on the quotation. Only when the “Quote” has been signed by the customer is when confirmation of work is taken.

 

  • J M PAT Testing reverses the right to cancel or withdraw the quotation at any time.

 

  • J M PAT Testing will quote upon request of the customer if any work needs to be carried out outside of “normal working hours”, details of working hours required will be stated in the “Quote”.

 

  • J M PAT Testing will provide a quote with the best endeavours to carry out and complete the work by the dates that defined in the “Quote” such dates shall be taken as estimates only.

Services

​

  • J M PAT Testing will perform all work carried out reflected that on the “Quote”, carried out according to the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IET) Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of electrical Equipment.

 

  • J M PAT Testing will have full ownership of any Certificates until all invoices are paid in full, once paid all Certificates and any equipment registers will be issued through email that defined in the “Quote”, any paper copies requested should be done so by the means of additional comments on the “Quote”.

 

  • J M PAT Testing will have all Certificates on record which a copy can be requested by the customer, copies of certificates will be sent via Email to the contact that on the “Quote”.

 

  • J M PAT Testing will provide a “Quote” for the customer with only a standard of 230-volt and 110-volt equipment that defined in the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IET) Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of electrical Equipment.

 

  • J M PAT Testing will provide repairs defined in the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IET) Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of electrical Equipment. – repairs to plugs will be quoted for replacement at the time of testing, New BS1363 Plugs will be supplied at £5.00 each, any additional equipment will be quoted upon request of the customer.

 

  • J M PAT Testing will provide all replacement fuses free up to the quantity of 10 per “Service”, any additional Fuse at a cost of 50p will be quoted at the time of testing.

 

  • J M PAT Testing will issue the “Certificates of Test” and “PAT Register” within 7 (Seven) Business Days, only when payment is received in full of the Addressed customer that on the “Invoice”.

 

Service Limitations

  • J M PAT Testing will not test any equipment which has been identified for a third party, by the way of sale or other methods, any testing performed by J M PAT Testing on equipment which is then made available for supply to third parties will void any Certificates provided.

 

  • JM PAT Testing will carry out the services that defined in the “Quote” at weekday (Monday to Friday) days (9:30am to 5:30pm) or at weekends Saturday (10:00am to 4:00pm) unless otherwise stated and agreed by both parties defined in the “Quote”.

 

  • J M PAT Testing will not undertake any work outside of that stated in the “Quote” unless agreed and signed for from both parties, for example but no limited to: - Repairs of equipment, replacement of the equipment.

 

Cancellation

​

  • J M PAT Testing reserves the right to charge the customer a cancellation fee, this will be the full amount that defined in the “Quote” if less than 48 hours from the stated time defined in the “Quote”.

 

  • J M PAT Testing reserves the right to cancel at any time when a prior site risk assessment has been performed, J M PAT Testing will start/carry on any work if reasonable efforts to make safe any risk that has been assessed.

Price and Payment

​

  • J M PAT Testing requires payment in full within the 5 days from issue of invoice, late payments after the 5 days will have an extra late payment charge applied. 

 

  • J M PAT Testing shall provide an invoice at the end of each job defined in the “Quote” which is required to be paid in full before any Certificates of Test or PAT Registers are released to the customer.

 

  • J M PAT Testing reserves the right to charge the customer the full amount that defined in the “Quote” if the customer’s place of work defined on the “Quote” is closed or unable to gain entry to the premises.

 

  • J M PAT Testing reserves the right to recover any loss from any invoice not paid in full after the 5 days from date shown on the invoice. This includes the total Service price for the duration of that stated in the “Quote”, any costs of lawyers or debt collection agencies and any additional equipment/items provided by J M PAT Testing.

Customer Obligations

​

  • J M PAT Testing requires the customer to make sure all data and information has been protected / backed up before any PAT Testing and inspection on equipment can begin.

 

  • J M PAT Testing requires the customer to provide any safety information and any potential hazards when working at the customer’s premises that defined in the “Quote” and to make all intended equipment available for PAT testing.

 

  • J M PAT Testing will provide the services stated on the “Quote”, in order to provide these services, the customer shall provide; full, unrestricted and convenient access to the site and the equipment. Access to mains electricity and other normal supplies required to undertake the services.

 

  • J M PAT Testing will provide the services stated on the “Quote”, in order to provide these services, the customer shall have suitable public liability insurance for the whole duration of the time that stated on the “Quote” and will also provide a copy of said Insurance policy upon reasonable request.

 

Limitation and Liability

​

  • J M PAT Testing has Insurance cover for public liability, the certificate can be found on our website jmpattesting.co.uk

 

  • J M PAT Testing will not be liable for any customer’s business interruptions, loss of data and information, loss to services or profits.

 

  • J M PAT Testing will not be liable for injury, loss or damages to any equipment that are found to be faulty before or after PAT testing has been performed therefore the testing of equipment is carried out solely at the customer’s risk.

 

  • J M PAT Testing will notify the customer of any failed equipment at the time of testing, JM PAT Testing will not then be responsible for said equipment, and responsibility is then passed to the Duty Holder.

 

 

J M PAT Testing has no variation of these Terms and Conditions, unless it is in writing and signed by the authorised representatives from both parties, these changes will be made on the “Quote”.
